Dan Erling's journey with Accountants One began in 1998, when he joined forces with his father, Bert Erling, as a recruiter. Together, they fostered a culture of collaboration and focused on delivering unparalleled service to clients. The father-son duo firmly believed in the value of long-term relationships, prioritizing them over short-term sales.

Bert Erling passed away unexpectedly in 2010. Driven by a commitment to honor his father's legacy, Dan continued to steer Accountants One towards growth.

Dan has overseen the expansion of the firm's services to a diverse clientele.  From international public companies in growth phases to small enterprises seeking their inaugural Controller, and CPA firms looking to enhance their teams, Accountants One thrives on establishing partnership-oriented relationships rather than transactional dealings.

Dan Erling's expertise in the hiring process is a testament to his dedication. With an analytical approach developed over thousands of hires, he authored "MATCH – A Systematic, Sane Process for Hiring the Right Person Every Time," published by John Wiley & Sons in 2010. His insights have made him a sought-after speaker and consultant on hiring topics for the past decade.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dan is deeply committed to community service. Currently serving on the board of Junior Achievement of Georgia, he actively contributes as a member of the Finance Committee. Dan is also the creator of the "Search for the South’s Funniest Accountant," an annual event that has raised over $400,000 for Junior Achievement of Georgia.
